Baochun Guo is a Professor in the Department of Polymer Materials and Engineering at South University of Technology (SCUT). After receiving a B. E. from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1996, he completed his PhD in Materials Science at SCUT in 2001. He then joined the Department of Polymer Materials and Engineering, SCUT. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as a research assistant in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Hong Kong. He became a full Professor at SCUT in 2009. He has been the Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of SCUT since Oct. 2022. His current research involves rubber reinforcement, elastomeric composites, and elastomers crosslinked by dynamic bonds. He has received many recognitions, including the prestigious National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (NSFC) and Sparks-Thomas award (ACS Rubber Division).
