Ph.D., is a professor-level senior engineer and an expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council. He is the first-level leading talent in Gansu Province, a senior technical expert of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the director of the Synthetic Rubber Test Site, CNPC. He is the vice chairman of China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association, the vice chairman of the National Rubber Standardization Technical Committee and the part-time professor and the master supervisor of universities such as Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Lanzhou University.Guangbi Gong has been committed to the research and development of synthetic rubber. He has extensive experience in the lab test, pilot test and industrialization of synthetic rubber and the processing and application of synthetic rubber. He has made great achievements in the development of new products and completed technology for rubber. He has undertaken 3 national projects and over 40 projects at or above provincial and ministerial levels as the project director. He was responsible for the 2017 National Key Research and Development Program “key technology of the industrialization of high-performance synthetic rubber”. Technologies and products such as functionalized SSBR, NdBR and star-branched IIR were successfully developed. Besides, the industrialization of the technologies and products has been successfully realized.
Guangbi Gong has won 21 awards at or above provincial and ministerial levels. He has published 8 books and over 40 papers, and has applied for over 80 Chinese patents. He has published 4 international, national and industry standards. He has won the honorary titles such as “National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker of Petroleum Industry” and “Outstanding Expert in Gansu Province”.
