Dr. Yingfeng Tu, studied in College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University, China, where he received his B.S. degree in 1998, and Ph.D. in 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Qifeng Zhou (co-supervised with Prof. Chi Wu from The Chinese University of Hong Kong). After 6 years’ postdoctoral research period (2004-2009) in the University of Akron under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Z.D. Cheng and Prof. Frank W. Harris, he joined Soochow University as a full professor in Nov. 2009. His current research interests are focused on block copolymer/molecule synthesis, polyester/polyamide and related thermoplastic elastomer synthesis, characterization/property of these materials and the structure-property relationship among them. His group has established the cascade polymerization method for the synthesis of polyesters/polyamides and their related thermoplastic elastomer block copolymers, which shows great advantage over traditional condensation polymerization techniques.
