Professor Li Liu works in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. He is the head of Beijing Advanced Elastomer Engineering Research Center. He received Ph.D. degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2004. He worked as a visiting research scientist in SDSMT, USA from May to November in 2008.His principle research interests include polymer modification and processing, electrically conductive polymer-based composite, thermally conductive polymer-based composite, novel rare earth functional composite, and advanced carbon-containing fillers/polymer composite. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers, some of which were publish in Sci. Rep., Adv. Func. Mater., JPCC, JMCC, Polymer, etc.
He has been in charge of over 10 major projects, mainly from national "863" and "973" plans, and National Natural Science Foundation, etc. He is the winner of Beijing Nova program, New Century Excellent Talents in University (Ministry of Education). He has received over 5 major awards, including the Beijing municipal science and technology awards, the technological invention award from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
He is a committee member of Rubber Institute of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, a council member of Chinese New Materials Technology Association and an editorial board member of “Tire Industry”.
