Guangsu Huang is a Professor, doctoral supervisor of College of Polymer Science and Engineering of Sichuan University. She is also the director of the Sichuan rubber association and the editorial board member of the magazine Synthetic Rubber Industry. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Polymer Materials at Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1982. She received her master's degree in polymer materials in 1993 and her doctor's degree in engineering in 2002, at Sichuan University. Her research interests include rubber materials, the relationship of polymeric mechanism, polymeric structures and its properties, high-performance and functionalization of soft materials. As a project or sub-project leader, she has undertaken about 17 national projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Key Funds, National Major Science and Technology Projects, 973 Program, and so on. By now she has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and has been granted 18 Chinese patents and 1 US patent. The research results won First Prize of Sinopec Technological Invention Awards. Simultaneously, she also won Wipo-Cnipa for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention, Chinese Patent Excellence Award, and Chinese Eeducation Ministry Second Prize for Scientific Technological Invention. Moreover, many teaching awards from Sichuan University and so on.
