Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor, is currently a professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hainan University, and a member of the Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. In 1997, he was awarded by the State Council as an expert with outstanding contributions and enjoyed a special allowance from the State Council. Since 1984, he has been engaged in scientific research and teaching of polymer materials such as natural rubber. From 1993 to 1994, he participated in the research of the CFC (Common Fund for Commodities) project hosted by IRRDB, participated in the compilation of the monograph "Blends of Natural Rubber with Speciality Elastomers" edited by A.J. Tinker, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Loughborough in the United Kingdom from 1996 to 1997. From 2007 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the National Polymer Science Research Center at UMASS, USA. He has presided over more than 10 national and Hainan province and international cooperation projects, and published more than 100 academic papers, including more than 30 international top journals (AFM, ACSNano, Angew, Chem. Int. Ed and other SCI articles, more than 10 national invention patent authorizations, 2 provincial and ministerial achievement appraisals, and 4 monographs. As the main designer and production standard formulator of the shallow and raw rubber ginseng mixing standard method commonly used in China's natural rubber production, it provides important technical support for China's natural rubber production. As the chief expert of "Aviation tire rubber production base", led the team to successfully realize the localization of high-grade natural rubber, systematically changed the status quo that China's high-performance natural rubber is completely dependent on imports, and established Aaviation rubber independent supply guarantee management system and demonstration production line.
