Wenrong Zheng was born in 1953. After graduating from university, Mr. Zheng went to work for the Ministry of Agriculture and has been engaged in tropical agricultural technology as well as rubber and other tropical agricultural production, technology, trade, distribution management and industrial coordination and organization. Mr. Zheng was the Director of the Tropical Crops Division of the Bureau of Farms Reclamation of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Head of the Office of the Steering Group for the Development of South Asian Tropical Crops of the State Council, the Head of the Office for the Development of South Asian Tropical Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Society For Tropical Crops, and the Executive Director of the South China Commodity Futures Exchange. Mr. Zheng served as the director of the South Asia Tropical Crops Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture in 1995. Mr. Zheng is currently the executive vice president and legal representative of the China Natural Rubber Association, the chairman of the Natural Rubber Producers Working Committee of the Chinese Tropical Crops Society, a national science and technology reviewer, and a research fellow of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture.
