Wei LI, Doctor, graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with bachelor's degree in 1989, majoring in Engineering Mechanics, and got doctor's degree of Solid Mechanics in University of Science and Technology of China in 2003. From 1989 to 1999, Dr. Li Wei served as a teacher in Department of Mathematics and Physics, Anhui University of Science & Technology, teaching Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials and some other courses. In 2004, Dr. Li Wei joined Giti Tire (China) R&D Centre and has been the Director of R&D Centre since 2017.
Main technical fields: testing and characterization of mechanical properties of rubber materials, basic research of tire structural mechanics, tire FEA technology, tire product development and performance evaluation, etc. As the main person in charge, Dr. Li Wei has worked with his team to establish CAD/CAE/PDM system for the development of Giti tire product and a professional tire performance evaluation laboratory.
In 2020, Dr. Li Wei won the Second Prize of Anhui Science and Technology Award.
