Yihu Song, born in 1971, is a professor in Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He got his bachelor's degree from Lanzhou University in 1994, Master’s degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1997, and PhD from Zhejiang University in 2000. He carried out postdoctoral researches as a JSPS Fellow from 2001 to 2003 in Kyushu University, Japan. He became an associate professor in 2003 and a full professor in 2007 in Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. He is also the Secretary-General of the 9th Chinese Rheology Society (2020-) and the Standing Director of the Polymer Materials and Engineering Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society (2014-). He is now engaged in researches involving relationship between viscoelasticity, microstructures and functional behaviors of polymer nanocomposites, focusing on filler-polymer interfacial interaction and regulation of viscoelasticity. He has more than 280 scientific papers published and 30 Chinese invention patents authorized. He won several awards including the IAAM Scientist Award (2022), the Feng Xinde Polymer Prize (2018), and the Polymer Science Innovation Paper Prize of the Chinese Chemical Society (2013).
