Dr.Yehai Yan is Tai Mountain Professor of Polymer Science & Engineering at the Qingdao University of Science & Technology (QUST). He obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002. He then worked as a research fellow at the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA)/ Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). In 2006, he joined in the School of Polymer Science & Engineering (SPSE) at QUST and was appointed as a Full Professor in 2011. From 2008.06 to 2009.06, he engaged in the visiting research at Leibniz- Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e. V with the financial support from Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (Germany). Now, he is the Dean of SPSE and the director of Key Laboratory of Rubber-plastics, Ministry of Education.Dr Yan’s research interests include but do not limit to 1) design & synthesis of functional compounds/polymers, 2) fabrication, structure-property relationship, and applications of low-dimensional nanomaterials, and 3) high-performance and multifunctional polymer nanocomposites. He has published 75 SCI-cited papers, 1 chapter in book, authorized 14 China invention patents and 2 US patents, and 5 awards from Shandong province and Qingdao city.
