Aimin Liang, male, was born in Chifeng City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1962. Mr. Liang is a professor-level senior engineer and the chief expert in the field of synthetic materials for Sinopec. He is currently the director of the National Engineering Research Center for the Synthesis of New Rubber and Plastic Materials, the director of the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Petrochemical Organic Raw Materials and Synthetic Resin, the director of the Sinopec Innovation Center for Non-metallic Lightweight Materials for Automotive. He holds the post of president of China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association and also serves as the editor in chief or editorial board member of 6 journals and magazines including “China Synthetic Rubber Industry” and “China Synthetic Resin and Plastics”

Mr. Liang graduated from Dalian University of Technology in 1984, majored in polymer chemical engineering. Since then, he was involved in technical development of synthetic materials and technical management. served successively as director of synthetic rubber research department, general engineer, president of Research Institute of SINOPEC Beijing Yanshan Company. In 2014, he served as vice president of SINOPEC BRICI and deputy leader of the preparatory team of Sinopec Synthetic Rubber Company, fully responsible for the research and development of Sinopec's overall synthetic rubber technology since then In his career, Mr. Liang has successively participated in and presided over the development, industrialization and commercial use of package technologies in mainland China for the production of five rubber types including styrene butadiene thermoplastic elastomer (SBS), solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR), low CIS polybutadiene rubber (LCBR), brominated butyl rubber (BIIR) and rare earth isoprene rubber (Nd IR) among seven generic rubber species, as well as two co-monomers, isobutylene and 1-hexene. 

So far, Mr. Liang has acquired one item the second prize of National Technology Invention Award and 13 items of provincial and ministerial level Scientific and Technological Progress Awards. He also published dozens of scientific research papers, acquired 121 invention patents granted by China or foreign patent administrative authorities, won more than 10 honorary titles, including "Special Governmental Allowance from the State Council","Hou Debang Award for Achievement in Chemical Science and Technology" from the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, and “The 2022 General Award” from the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers.
