Chenxi Bai, researcher of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), project leader, doctoral supervisor of University of Science and Technology of China, director of Key Laboratory of High-Performance Synthetic Rubber and Its Composite Materials, CAS, member of the academic committee of CIAC, state council government allowance recipients, team leader in key areas of the national innovation talent promotion program. Currently, he is vice chairman of Applied Chemistry Discipline Committee of Chinese Chemical Society, member of Rubber Specialty Committee of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, and member of National Standardization Committee. He is mainly engaged in the preparation and application of high-performance synthetic rubber and its composite materials. He has published more than 100 research papers in SCI journals, and applied for and authorized more than 100 invention patents. He has formulated a national group standard. He has undertaken more than 40 scientific research tasks at the national and provincial levels. He has won more than ten national and provincial awards and honors.
He developed the preparation technology of multi-component homogeneous rare earth catalytic system with high activity and high directivity, and the shuttle polymerization of novel controllable diolefin coordination reversible chain and the macromolecular engineering technology. He proposed the regulation mechanism of aggregate structure and intrinsic properties of multiple series synthetic rubber. He designed and synthesized new synthetic rubber material with highly structured micro structure. On this basis, a 100,000-ton chemical process package for the preparation of conjugated diene monomer, a 30,000-ton rare earth isoprene rubber and a 50,000-ton rare earth butadiene rubber complete production technology package were completed, and the industrialization achievements were transferred and transformed.
