Prof. Dr. Guo-Hua HU received a bachelor degree in polymer chemical engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology - ECUST (Shanghai, China) in 1985 and a PhD in polymer engineering and science from the University of Strasbourg (France) in 1990. He was a post-doctoral research associate of the University of Pittsburgh (USA) from 1990 to 1992 and became a CNRS researcher (France) in 1992. He was appointed full professor at the University of Lorraine (France) in 1998. He has been active in chemical engineering and polymer engineering, especially reactive polymer processing, polymer reaction engineering, polymer foaming, circular materials and processes. He has authored over 300 refereed publications and 17 book chapters. He was the recipient of the Bronze medal of the CNRS in 1996, the Morand Lambla award of the Polymer Processing Society in 2001. He was a Piercy visiting distinguished visiting professor of the University of Minnesota (USA) in 2005, was elected member of the Academic Institute of France in 2004 and European Academy of Sciences in 2022. He is the editor in chief of SPE polymers, a gold open access journal.
